I remember going to a Richard Clayderman concert. I know, I am dating myself and half of you reading this won’t have even heard of him!! But, he was a brilliant pianist!! We were at the Sydney Entertainment Centre, the place was packed and for a couple of hours we were wooed and captivated by beautiful music. At the end of the performance I stood to give a standing ovation, completely confident that if I stood long enough, others would join me! They didn’t! But I digress. There and then, I wanted to be able to play like that! To be great, like him! I decided to buy a piano and get lessons and had nothing less that the full expectation that I would, one day, play just like him. Until someone very well-meaning said, “You know, you won’t be able to play like that!!” I remember those words sunk deep into my heart! Suddenly ‘reality’ struck. Prior to those words being spoken, I truly believed, and had no doubt, that I could! Have you ever really wished you could do something truly great? Something that would (unlike my piano playing) change the world? That you could do something significant, that would really make a difference?? I think all of us are born with a deep sense of wanting to do something great, to really impact our world in a positive sense, to make a real difference!! But somehow, throughout life, people remind us of how small we are, and how grand those dreams are, and that, those dreams are for, you know, ‘other people’. So, why are we born with this sense of greatness? Why, then, do we have this deep desire to affect change where change is needed? Because we are created in HIS image! That’s why! And that is the very heart of God. He placed it in us! And then, why does the world try to ‘knock sense into us?’ To ‘bring us down a peg or two?’ Because the world is ruled by the father of all lies, who uses deception to keep us bound and powerless! If you are one of my beautiful sisters who the ‘well-meaning’ have not diminished your desire for change, then PRAISE GOD! Keep the faith, my friend! Don’t let them dissuade you! But to all of us, here on the eve of our Frontiers Conference, I want to say, “Do you realise how truly powerful you are?” Because of your choice to give of yourselves and your finance: Children are being rescued from the horror or the sex trade! – Yes YOU are making that happen!Mothers are able to keep and provide for their children, instead of being subjected to a cruel and dangerous backyard abortion!YOU are breaking the cycle of poverty.YOU are empowering the disempowered.YOU are transforming lives!You ARE the answer to the world’s problems!! Can you believe that?? It’s true! Oh my goodness, if only we could comprehend how powerful our simple choices are, when we are Spirit-led!! Your Father owns all the world and everything in it! He is your provider, and He wants the whole world to be free to come to Him! So then, as if He isn’t poised to make that happen!? He has positioned you to partner with Him to see His Kingdom come! You are not just a bystander in all of this. YOU are His plan A! 
He has already said:
“All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations.” Matthew 28:18-19 (NIV)
Yes, it is His will for us to be on mission, to bring justice where there is injustice. To meet need, and to bring hope. Otherwise he would not have said: “Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’ “Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’ “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’ “ Matthew 25:34-40 (NIV) So, I believe He would say; When you freed those children from slavery, through Destiny Rescue – you freed Me!When you rescued that baby from termination – you rescued Me!When you delivered that Christmas hamper to a family who did not have Christmas dinner – you brought hope to Me!When you took the good news into Islamic Mosques, into outback Indigenous Australia, into remote villages in Cambodia – you brought my children unto Me! When we are Spirit-led the simple choices we make of choosing to give instead of withholding for ourselves, make a huge impact. Girls may I encourage you, you ARE amazing! You ARE powerful in His hands. We can do this!! We have His authority, His provision and His go-ahead!!! Don’t listen to the voices of the world, listen instead to the very heartbeat of God.Let us not grow tired in doing good, let us be Spirit-led. It truly is A Big Year! J
